Baltic gods refer to the worshipped characters from Baltic religion and mythology in the region comprising of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania before the spread of Christianity in the region. There are no epic myths about the world’s creation, or about the Baltic peoples’ culture. This is because of the historical and social conditions that prevented these types of myths from being formed.

There has been no substantial research on the interrelationships between Baltic myths and their ideas. Fragmentary evidence shows only two complexes of ideas, with the first concerned with the structure of the world and the second with the enmity between Meness and the Sun. There is a disagreement as to whether the world is composed of three or two regions. The idea of a two-region world is supported by a dualism, which is evidenced by the words si saule and vina saule.
