Inuit Hybrids are quite common in the Inuit Mythology of North America and especially modern Canada. Many of the anthropomorphized characters that are present in the mythology are half man and half beast. The animals characteristics that are common tend to be of animals that are native to the region like polar bears, bears, wolves, orcas and seals.

The Inuit Hybrids are often the result of a mating between 2 species rather than one species developing  the attributes of the other. This is something that is unique to the Inuit mythology when compared to others mythologies from around the world.
