Malaysian Spirits usually refers to the various non divine creatures that are part of the mythology, folklore and traditions of the people of the Malaysian archipelago. The various ethnic groups have their own distinct characters but with an overarching similarity in the concepts.

These spirits are usually associated with black magic and are usually in conflict with the humans. They do not hold an important role in divinity or worship but have deeply entrenched themselves in the local culture. The modern generation tend to look at them as superstitions and stories from ancient tales but a large part of the rural population still uphold these characters in high regard.
